Non-traditional approach to alcohol freedom and burnout recovery
Transform your life and achieve your goals with personalized coaching from Free Spirits AF. Specializing in alcohol freedom and burnout recovery for professional women and frontline workers
Hi, my name is Lauri. I know what it's like being a professional woman and trying to balance life, work, and family in a chaotic world. In response, we find ourselves experiencing stress, anxiety and burnout and turning to alcohol or other substances. As the founder and owner of Free Spirits AF, I want to empower you to change your story and choose how alcohol shows up in your life. Whether you want to moderate or stop drinking all together, I will support you through your journey. Why is this program different? Unlike typical recovery programs, Free Spirits AF uses a science based approach that does not tie a person's worth or success to their behavior. Free Spirits AF uses proven methods in a non-traditional approach to alcohol freedom that support a sustained recovery in a compassionate, caring environment.
This is not just about the substance or behavior, it's about changing the narrative and leaning into a life that moves away from stress, anxiety and burnout. I know, I was there. I now live a life I don't want to escape from.

My private coaching program is designed to support your unique path toward freedom from alcohol, burnout, or other unwanted habits. Whether you’re curious about your relationship with alcohol, overwhelmed by stress, or ready to shift long-standing behaviors, this program meets you exactly where you are.
We begin with a free introductory call to discuss your goals, challenges, and lifestyle. Together, we create a customized coaching plan — typically 12 weeks — tailored to your needs, pace, and priorities.
Using science-based techniques grounded in neuroscience, behavior change, and compassion-driven coaching, we’ll work together to uncover what’s holding you back and build new habits that align with the life you truly want to live.
You don’t have to navigate this alone. This is a safe, supportive space where change becomes possible — and sustainable.

Alcohol-freedom coaching is a personalized approach to helping individuals break free from their reliance on alcohol and embrace a healthier, more fulfilling lifestyle. Through guidance, support, and practical tools, an alcohol-freedom coach helps clients explore their relationship with alcohol, challenge limiting beliefs, and build habits that align with their goals. This coaching is rooted in compassion and empowerment, providing a safe space for self-discovery and transformation without judgment or shame. It’s not about deprivation—it’s about gaining freedom, clarity, and confidence in living life alcohol-free.
The key difference between alcohol-freedom coaching and counseling lies in their focus and approach. Alcohol-freedom coaching is forward-focused, emphasizing personal growth, goal-setting, and practical strategies to empower individuals to live an alcohol-free life. It’s a collaborative, action-oriented process designed for people who are ready to make positive changes and explore their potential. Counseling, on the other hand, often delves deeper into the emotional and psychological roots of alcohol use, addressing past trauma or mental health concerns. While coaching centers on building a thriving future, counseling provides therapeutic support to process and heal from underlying issues.
My approach stands apart from traditional programs by focusing on empowerment, curiosity, and self-discovery rather than fear, guilt, or rigid abstinence.
I prioritize addressing the root causes of alcohol dependence through education and self-awareness, helping clients understand the societal, emotional, and psychological factors that drive their drinking habits. Instead of relying on a one-size-fits-all program, I tailor coaching to each client’s unique journey, empowering them to redefine their relationship with alcohol at their own pace.
Free Spirits AF moves away from traditional labels like “alcoholic,” creating a space that normalizes the exploration of an alcohol-free lifestyle for anyone—whether you are struggling with addiction or simply seeking greater clarity and health, my supportive, nonjudgmental approach fosters lasting change by focusing on building a fulfilling, alcohol-free life rooted in joy, connection, and purpose.
Free Spirits AF offers individualized programs that align with your needs and desired outcomes. We provided 1:1 sessions , couples and group coaching. Please schedule a discovery call to discuss what would work best for you.
I use Annie Grace's (This Naked Mind) concept of “the pause” which is a foundational tool for exploring your relationship with alcohol without immediate pressure to quit. This pause allows individuals to continue drinking while they begin to gather valuable data points about their habits, emotions, and triggers. Rather than approaching change with restriction or willpower, this method emphasizes curiosity and self-compassion. By observing and reflecting on how alcohol impacts various aspects of life—such as mood, energy, relationships, and overall well-being—clients are empowered to make informed, conscious decisions about drinking. In my coaching, I embrace this philosophy, creating a judgment-free space where you can take your time, explore these insights, and develop sustainable strategies for long-term freedom from alcohol.
Unfortunately, most health insurances do not cover coaching. Some employers do allow flex spending or health savings accounts to be used for this purpose. It's important to know that you are investing in YOU. Can you put a price on a happier, healthy life where you are free from the power of alcohol?
Book a 30 minute Discovery call. This call helps establish where you are currently with your relationship with alcohol and where you would like to be. I will answer questions about our programs and help design a program that best fits your needs. Reach out if you have additional questions.
This program is not intended to be a substitute for medical or psychological treatment or evaluation. It is strongly recommended that you seek professional advice regarding your health before attempting to incorporate any advice given into your life, especially if you have reached a point of physical dependence on alcohol. Withdrawal symptoms due to a physical dependence on alcohol have the potential to be severe, and in some cases life-threatening. Those who seek to abstain entirely from alcohol beverages should consult first with a qualified healthcare professional. The information provided is not meant to replace professional, medical guidance.
